Healthy Ways to Overcome Stomach Ulcers

Stomach ulcers are often underestimated by many people. However, if left untreated, they can be dangerous because this condition is a sign of stomach disorders that require treatment.

  1. Adjust to a Healthy Diet
    It is recommended to eat smaller portions more frequently. Avoid lying down immediately after eating (wait at least 2–3 hours), and steer clear of overly spicy or acidic foods, carbonated drinks, caffeine, alcoholic beverages, and excessively sugary drinks. Instead, opt for healthier food choices, such as consuming high-protein foods like fish, organic eggs, nuts, and seeds.
  2. Change Unhealthy Habits Such As:
    - Smoking
    - Being physically inactive
    - Exercising immediately after eating
    - Wearing tight clothing that puts pressure on the stomach
    Make these changes immediately, as continuing these habits can trigger gastritis and worsen its symptoms if done regularly.
  3. Manage Stress
    Tackle gastritis by managing stress through activities such as meditation classes or counseling. If the condition persists, psychotherapy may also be recommended.
  4. Get Enough Rest
    Adequate rest can be a solution. Sleep for at least 7–8 hours each night to alleviate mild symptoms of gastritis.
  5. Consume Fermented Foods and Drinks
    Choosing foods that are good for digestion can optimize the treatment of gastritis. Try consuming fermented foods and beverages, such as yogurt, which contain beneficial bacteria that support and improve digestion.
