The Importance of Taking Worm Medicine

Worm infection is caused by parasitic worms inside the human body. Although it is more common in children, worm infestations can also affect adults.

If not properly treated, intestinal worms in adults can lead to serious complications. As a preventive measure against worm infections, it is very common for children to take deworming medicine every 6 months. The same actually applies to adults.

This is especially true for those at high risk, such as:

Working in areas prone to worms, for example, those frequently in contact with the soil
Living in endemic areas for worms
Residing in environments with poor sanitation and cleanliness
Individuals who do not pay attention to food hygiene, such as not washing fruits or vegetables before consumption and eating undercooked meat (beef or pork).

If you fall into one of these categories, there's no harm in taking deworming medicine regularly every 6 months as a preventive measure and protection for your family. This disease can occur in both children and adults. Take deworming medicine regularly every 6 months and do not neglect personal and food hygiene. Avoid consuming raw food, especially meat, and wash all raw vegetables or fruits before eating. Wash your hands frequently after engaging in dirty activities.
