Toddler Health

Here are some ways to maintain the health of toddlers

  1. Adopting a Healthy Eating Pattern
    The main food groups that provide the right combination of nutrients for toddlers are:
    - Fruits and vegetable
    - Starchy foods based on cereals, such as bread, porridge, and pasta
    - Dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogurt
    - Protein, such as meat, fish, eggs, and nuts
    Additionally, ensure your toddler drinks plenty of water and try to limit foods with empty calories and sugary treats.

  2. Provide Immunizations According to Schedule
    Immunization is essential to protect toddlers from various serious infectious diseases.

  3. Ensure Adequate Sleep for Toddlers
    Sleep is one of the essential needs for toddlers. They are recommended to sleep for 10–13 hours every day.

  4. Encourage Your Little One to Stay Active
    Ensure your toddler engages in physical activities for at least three hours daily. It's best to limit screen time, such as watching television or using other devices, to no more than two hours per day.

  5. Teach Your Toddler About Hygiene Practices
    Talk to your little one about the importance of washing hands before eating, after using the bathroom, after touching or playing with pets, and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing their nose.

  6. Maintain Your Toddler's Dental Hygiene
    It is important for parents to start maintaining their toddler's dental hygiene as soon as their teeth begin to grow.

  7. Help Your Toddler Understand Their Feelings
    Parents should provide space for children to experience their emotions and connect with their feelings.

 

When Should You Visit a Doctor?
If your toddler experiences health issues or if you wish to vaccinate them, consult a nearby doctor or visit a hospital.
